Yoga’s Arc Mentorship Program
The Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring Program is a unique program designed by Yoga’s Arc LLC to prepare Certified Yoga Teachers to teach Yoga’s Arc’s public communities and underserved populations for real practice teaching experiences. We require all teachers to be able to teach a full All Levels Yoga Practice off-mat and be able to mirror-image for our active communities that need Visual and Auditory Instruction. Those who are confident in these skills can do an audition in one of our communities in exchange for 1 class in return, and if the audition proves the skills needed for a successful All-levels practice, then hiring you for employment is the next step after you teach your 1 owed class!
Due to the lack of experience most yoga teachers have starting in these communities, we created a mentoring program to set new teachers up for success. With the lack of mobility and body awareness that most of our clients have in yoga, we need to train yoga teachers to teach to bodies that are not mobile. Every yoga teacher not certified by the Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Training School is required to go through the Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring Program to be employed by Yoga’s Arc as a Yoga Teacher if unprepared for an audition starting out.
We have created the Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring Program to provide the extra training and education required to be a successful teacher for a safe Yoga’s Arc All Levels Community and Yoga Practice. These are some of the training areas that the YA Mentoring Program Provides: the Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring Program Trainee will be able to participate in some of the following trainings to give them the tools to teach a safe Yoga’s Arc All Levels Practice.
The Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring Program Trainee will have the opportunity to:
● Demonstrate for our current Yoga’s Arc Instructors in our current public and private classes
● Observe our current Classes to take notes and learn from our Yoga’s Arc Instructors
● 1-1 Sessions with some of our Lead YA Instructors
● Instruction and Training in Mirror Imaging
● Instruction and Training in Using Your Voice
● Ability to Practice Teaching with feedback from a Lead YA Instructor
● Learn skills in how to protect and market yourself as a Yoga Instructor
● Assistance in finding your personal path to your Yoga career
● Preparation for Yoga Teacher Auditions & Resumes
● Free Referrals to yoga teaching job opportunities outside of Yoga’s Arc
● 1-1 sessions to help you create and teach your first class
There are Yoga’s Arc job opportunities when you are approved by a Yoga’s Arc Lead Teacher after your Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Mentoring in a specific area has been completed. The areas that we specifically mentor and approve to teach are:
○ All Levels Yoga
○ Chair Yoga
○ Relaxation Yoga Styles (Restorative and Yin)
○ Guided Meditation/Yoga Nidra
These yoga areas are approved in 3 different YA Communities:
1. Virtual Classes
2. Free and Non-Profit Classes
3. Profit Classes
Select Your Yoga's Arc Mentoring Program Option
1. Integrated Mentoring with Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) Enrollment This option is for individuals currently enrolled in or enrolling in a Yoga's Arc 200-hour or 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Your YTT down payment is required to begin. Mentoring is included in your YTT tuition, providing ongoing support throughout your training and leading up to potential employment. A Yoga's Arc T-shirt is provided upon enrollment. For 300-hour trainees, the audition for hire is also included within your YTT tuition.
2. Experienced Instructor Audition Pathway Choose this option if you're an experienced All Levels Yoga Instructor confident in your ability to teach off the mat (or from a chair) while mirror-imaging, ensuring clear visual and auditory instruction. This pathway includes a $100 non-refundable administrative fee covering paperwork processing, a Yoga's Arc T-shirt, and one audition with feedback for potential hire.
3. Mentoring Through Service Hour Exchange This option is for certified instructors seeking real-world teaching experience. Participants will provide agreed-upon yoga teaching services in exchange for mentoring hours. Your credit card will be kept on file and will only be charged if the pre-arranged service hours are not fulfilled as outlined in your contract. This option includes a $100 non-refundable administrative fee covering paperwork processing, a Yoga's Arc T-shirt, and one audition with feedback for potential hire.
4. Paid Mentoring Program This option is for certified instructors who need real-world teaching experience and prefer to pay for structured mentoring. Choose from two packages:
● $500 for ten hours of mentoring and one audition included (11 hours total).
● $250 for five (4) hours of mentoring and one (1) audition. Both packages include paperwork processing and a Yoga's Arc T-shirt.
5. New Program Referral & Mentoring Select this option if you're referring a new yoga program location to Yoga's Arc and are not yet ready to lead classes there independently. You will receive complimentary mentoring from a Yoga's Arc Instructor at the new location (please specify the location below) until you are comfortable teaching and can assume responsibility for the class(es). Upon establishing the new partnership and submitting your employment paperwork, you will receive a Yoga's Arc T-shirt. Yoga's Arc will handle the retraining of the yoga program as needed.
